BCSC Lottery
How BCSC's Lottery Works
A public charter school lottery determines the order in which
students are granted admission into BCSC. Once all available
spaces are filled, names are drawn to determine the order of the
waitlist. Students will be admitted from the waitlist as
spaces become available in each grade.
Preference is given to siblings of enrolled and admitted students
and to students residing in NYC Community School District 7.
BCSC's 2010-2011 Charter School
Lottery
The Bronx Charter School for Children will hold its annual
public lottery on April 28, 2010, at 5:00 pm in the BCSC
cafeteria. This lottery enrolls new students in
available spaces in kindergarten through 5th grade for the 2010
-2011 school year.
To apply for kindergarten, a child must turn 5 years old
by December 31st of the enrollment year.
In order for your child to be included in the lottery, you must
complete a Lottery Registration Form and return it to the BCSC
Office by April 9, 2010. All forms submitted after the
deadline are added to the waitlist in the order they are received
by the BCSC Office.
