Application Assistance, Tours & Workshops

BCSC participates in the New York Department of Education's Middle School Choice process and helps our students and families plan the next step on their educational path.

Our Dean tours many middle schools and develops relationships with  them in order to guide families toward schools with high expectations and rigorous instructional programs.  The BCSC:

• Provides individualized family meetings to prepare and complete applications;
• Conducts family workshops to support the transition process and provide detailed information;
• Hosts representatives from high quality middle schools and from organizations such as Prep for Prep and A Better Chance.
